Life as We know It

 I love to paint. And this is something I want to share with my son. But Castle is a baby and eats things. And the one time I tried to do a cute craft that involved painting his hand with acrylic paint and stamping it on canvas, I was so stressed about him putting his hand in his mouth or on his clothes or on my clothes or on the furniture that it took away from the fun of the experience. Enter edible paint. Three ingredients. Yes, THREE ingredients: water, flour, and a touch of food coloring. Not tasty and not for eating, but safe if it ends up in someone’s mouth. Castle started out by cringing and dipping one single finger in the paint. But he slowly transitioned into mixing the paint around on the paper and flapping the paper in the air, so I think he had a good time. 🤷🏻‍♀️ He was a cute little painter at any rate. And I was a worry-free mama.
